Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit; So he who waits on his master will be honoured.

Proverbs 27:18

God has given us a promise with regard to our labour. This promise is available for us to claim. He assures us that our hard work, effort, toils and sweat is not going to be vain. God promises to make the things we invest our energies in yield results. He also promises that when we keep our eyes on Him as our Master and trust in His grace, we will be honoured. Your labour shall yield results!

Every human being encounters moments of uncertainty with our lives and the projects we work on. This can be in relation to our own lives, or children, or education, or business or a project. We start, work hard and then wonder whether we will see results or be around to share in the joys of our hard work. If unchecked, this uncertainty can lead to fear and panic on our part. Two things influence a productive life.

A:

Our ability. God equips us with unique gifts and talents, which have the potential to make our lives productive. When we use our gifts, they enhance our lives and then yield fruit that benefits others and us.

B:

God’s grace. He gives us grace to do the things that He has called us to do. The grace of God always goes beyond human effort. It is God’s power placed at our disposal. It is by His grace that we learn to make profitable use of our unique gifts and talents.

As a child of God, you are blessed to be fruitful as an individual and to enjoy the fruit of your labour.

Prayer:

I thank you, Lord, that by your grace I am living a fruitful life and enjoying your blessing of abundance.
