Deuteronomy 15:15
That is something we need to do: remember God. We need to remember all that He has done on our behalf. The scriptures exhort us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth. Not only are we told to remember the Lord when we are young, but we are also told to remember Him when He bless us with prosperity. The Lord cautioned Israel about the dangers of taking His blessings for granted. It is easy to remember God when we are surrounded by trouble and need help. However, after the Lord sends help to get us out of our predicament, we turn around and go on our merry way without pausing to thank Him.
Many of us have forgotten where we were when Christ found us. All too soon, we have forgotten the times of despair we were in until the Lord came our way. We have forgotten the days of tears and darkness when our lives had lost all meaning till the Lord stepped in and turned on the light. As Christians, we are to remember the Lord in our days of blessing. Why don’t you spend some time today to remember the Lord for all that He has done for you?
Prayer:
I give you thanks and praise, O Lord, for you have been so good to me. Eternity is not enough for me to count your blessings in my life.Scriptural Reading:
