Psalm 23:4
Psalm 23 verse 4 contains a promise not found among the lovely first three verses. It is in our moments of hardship we discover “You are with me”. God’s unwavering presence becomes most obvious to us when we are vulnerable. And along with our experience of His assurance and comfort comes the understanding that the Lord goes with us daily—even into the depths of our despair. Filled with the knowledge that God holds us no matter how deep, wide or dark our “valley” may be, we can move forward with courage and strength.
The truth is that you will go through some “dark valley” experiences in life. They are part of the process of God bringing us to our destiny. But you can be assured that as the Good Shepherd, the Lord will protect and guide His lambs through trials and difficulties. When you go through the valley of the shadow of death, He will be with you. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. So be strong and courageous. The one who is with you is far greater than the one who is against you.
Prayer:
Thank you Lord that you are with me even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. So I will fear no evil.Scriptural Reading:
