One of the most exciting scenes in adventure movies is when people who have been roaming for a long time in search of treasure stumble upon a clue or access way they may have passed several times but which finally leads them to their desired destination. Abraham had been on the verge of sacrificing his son Isaac when God intervened and acknowledged his act of obedience. What happened next was instructive. Genesis 22:13 says
Abraham “lifted up his eyes” and saw a ram caught in the thicket. God had already made a provision and at the right time He opened the eyes of Abraham to see it.

Your eyes must be enlightened by the Spirit to be able to perceive and appreciate the depths of solutions the scriptures profess. Every secret remains hidden until you “see” it. It then becomes a “revelation.”
