Frankly frank'-li (charizomai):

"Frankly" in the sense of "freely," "readily," "graciously," occurs only in the translation of charizomai, properly "to gratify," "to do that which is grateful or pleasing," "to forgive" (Lu 7:42, "He frankly forgave them both," the Revised Version (British and American) has simply "forgave"; the same word is translated in Lu 7:43, the King James Version and the Revised Version (British and American), "forgave," in Lu 7:21 the King James Version it is "gave," the Revised Version (British and American) "bestowed," granted to see). It occurs in the New Testament only in Luke and Paul.
