Meaning

Parcel par'-sel: Properly "a little part," in Elizabethan English being used in almost any sense. In the King James Version of Gen 33:19, Jos 24:32, Rth 4:3, 1Ch 11:13, 1Ch 11:14 it is the translation of chelqah; Joh 4:5 of chorion-both the Greek and Hebrew words meaning a "piece of land." the Revised Version (British and American) writes "plot" in 1Ch 11:13, 1Ch 11:14, but if the change was needed at all, it should have been made throughout.
