In the New Testament the word sometimes represents aner, as in Act 7:26, Act 14:15, Act 19:25, etc.; more frequently kurios, "lord," as in Mat 13:27, Mat 21:30, Mat 27:36, Joh 4:11, Joh 4:15, Joh 4:19, Joh 4:49 (the Revised Version margin "lord"); Joh 20:15. In Re 7:14, the Revised Version (British and American) renders "my lord."
