Amend <1,,2192 2866,echo kompsoteron> lit., "to have more finely," i.e., "to be better," is used in Joh 4:52, "to ammend." The latter word in the phrase is the comparative of kompsos, "elegant, nice, fine." Cp. Eng., "he's doing nicely."
