"to quiet" (lit., "to send down," kata, "down," stello, "to send"), in the Passive Voice, "to be quiet, or to be quieted," is used in Act 1:19-36, in the former verse in the Active Voice, AV, "appeased;" RV, "quieted;" in the latter, the Passive, "to be quiet" (lit., 'to be quieted'). See QUIET.
