"to take counsel, to resolve," is used in the Middle Voice in the NT, "took counsel" in Act 5:33, AV (RV translates boulomai); both in Act 27:39; in Luk 14:31, RV "take counsel" (AV, "consulteth"); in Joh 11:53, AV and RV (so the best mss.); Joh 12:10, RV, "took counsel," for AV, "consulted;" in 2Co 1:17 (twice), "purpose."
