"to fly" (the root of which is seen in pteron and pterux, "a wing," ptilon, "a feather," etc.), is confined to the Apocalypse, Rev 4:7, Rev 8:13, Rev 12:14, Rev 14:6, Rev 19:17. Some mss. have the verb petaomai, a frequentative form.
