"to will, be willing, desire" (less strong, and more frequent than No. 1), is translated "intending" in Luk 14:28, AV (RV, "desiring"). See DESIRE.

"to be about to do a thing," indicating simply the formation of a design, is translated "intend" in Act 5:35, AV (RV, "are about"); "intending," in Act 20:7, RV (AV, "ready"); Act 20:13 (1st part); in the 2nd part of the verse, RV, "intending" (AV, "minding").
