"to puff up, blow up, inflate" (from phusa, "bellows"), is used metaphorically in the NT, in the sense of being "puffed" up with pride, 1Co 4:6, 1Co 1:4-19, 1Co 5:2, 1Co 8:1, 1Co 13:4, Col 2:18.
