Swell, Swollen <1,,4092, pimpremi>

primarily, "to blow, to burn," later came to denote "to cause to swell," and, in the Middle Voice, "to become swollen," Act 28:6. In the Sept., Num 1:5-22, Num 5:27.

Note: Some, connecting the word prenes in Act 1:18 with pimpremi, give it the meaning "swelling up:" see HEADLONG.
