When the nominative hemeis is used, it is always emphatic, e.g., Joh 11:16, "(let) us (go);" lit., "we, let us go;" 1Th 5:8, "let us ... be sober," lit., "we ... let us be sober." Sometimes the oblique cases are governed by prepositions.
