Make Haste Usage Number: 1
Strong's Number: H4116
Original Word: mahar

Usage Notes: "to hasten, make haste." This verb and various derivatives are common to both ancient and modern Hebrew. Mahar occurs approximately 70 times in the Hebrew Bible; it appears twice in the first verse in which it is found: "And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal…" (Gen 18:6). Mahar often has an adverbial use when it appears with another verb, such as in Gen 18:7: "… hasted to dress it" (or "quickly prepared it").
