"made by hand," of human handiwork (cheir, and poieo, "to make"), is said of the temple in Jerusalem, Mar 14:58; temples in general, Act 7:48 (RV, "houses"); Act 17:24; negatively, of the heavenly and spiritual tabernacle, Heb 9:11; of the holy place in the earthly tabernacle, Heb 9:24; of circumcision, Eph 2:11. In the Sept., of idols, Lev 26:1, Lev 26:30, Isa 2:18, Isa 10:11, Isa 16:12, Isa 19:1, Isa 21:9, Isa 31:7, Isa 46:6.
