רָדָה râdâh, raw-daw'; a primitive root; to tread down, i.e. subjugate; specifically, to crumble off:—(come to, make to) have dominion, prevail against, reign, (bear, make to) rule,(-r, over), take.

Qal Perfect 3rd person masculine singular הַדְּבָ֑שׁ ר׳ Judges 14:9b out of the carcass he scraped the honey (see GFM); suffix אֶל־כַּפָּיו וַיִרְדֵּהוּ Judges 14:9a he scraped it out into his palms; BuhlLex Du also עַליְֿדֵיהֶם ר׳ Jeremiah 5:31, namely, gifts, money, figurative for making gain (most I. רדה which see).
