STRONGS G1621:
ἐκτινάσσω: 1 aorist imperative ἐκτινάξατε; 1 aorist middle participle ἐκτιναξάμενος; to shake off, so that something adhering shall fall: τὸν χοῦν, Mark 6:11; τὸν κονιορτόν, Matthew 10:14 (where the genitive τῶν ποδῶν does not depend on the verb but on the substantive [L T WH marginal reading, however, insert ἐκ]); by this symbolic act a person expresses extreme contempt for another and refuses to have any further contact with him [B. D. American edition under the word Dust]; middle to shake off for (the cleansing of) oneself: τ. κονιορτὸν... ἐπί τινα, against one, Acts 13:51; τὰ ἱμάτια, dust from garments, Acts 18:6; [cf. B. D. as above; Nehemiah 5:13]. (to knock out, τοὺς ὀδόντας, Homer, Iliad 16, 348; Plutarch, Cat. maj. 14.)
