c. expressing origin, Genesis 3:23 the ground אֲשֶׁר לֻקַּח מִשָּׁם, Genesis 10:14 whence (= from whom) came forth the Philistines, Judges 19:18 מִשָּׁם אָנֹכִי, 1 Samuel 10:12 אִישׁ מִשָּׁם, Isaiah 65:20.
