σκορπίος skorpíos, skor-pee'-os; probably from an obsolete σκέρπω skérpō (perhaps strengthened from the base of G4649 and meaning to pierce); a "scorpion" (from its sting):—scorpion.
The KJV translates Strong's G4651 in the following manner: scorpion (5x).
a scorpion, the name of a little animal, somewhat resembling a lobster, which in warm regions lurk, esp. in stone walls; it has a poisonous sting in its tail
Strong's Number G4651 matches the Greek σκορπίος (skorpios),
which occurs 5 times in 5 verses
