b. to show by words, to teach: followed by ὅτι, Matthew 16:21 (διδάσκειν in Mark 8:31 for δεικνύειν); followed by an infinitive Acts 10:28. [Compare: ἀνα-, ἀπο-, ἐν-, ἐπι-, ὑποδείκνυμι.]
